Managing flare ups

Thu, May 24, 2018 7:48 PM

I was recently diagnosed about a year and a half ago. My very first flare (had no idea at the time) was awful, lost 30+ pounds, fatigue, you name it i had it. After receiving my diagnosis i was put on a 20mg pred tamper, within a week i felt fantastic! I was in remission for around 8 months. Fast forward to now, i am in my second flare and i am back on prednisone and currently taking sulfasalazine as well. The prednisone has made me feel a little better but no remission yet, doesnt seem to be kicking in like it did the first time and i dont feel the sulfasalazine is doing anything for me. I have another docs apt in a week but is there anything or advice from personal experience that will help nip this flare? Any advice is welcomed.
