Really bad hemorrhoids

Thu, January 17, 2019 2:54 PM

I was recently diagnosed ulcerative colitis all throughout my large colon.  I am on steroids that do not seem to have any effect, and I'm on dicyclomine for the cramping.  I have about 15-20 bloody diarrhea per day.  I am in agony.  Especially the hemorrhoids.  I cannot sit, I cannot get comfortable, I am in utter misery and the depression is bringing me down.  I am on a liquid diet of homemade chicken bone broth, water, herbal tea.  I'm waiting to be approved as a candidate for Entyvio.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am also suffering from hemorrhoids and I am not sure how it going to heal properly. I have just started using a Neo Healar hemorrhoids treatment (https://hemorrhoids-help.com/wp/). Did anyone suggest me whether it going to cure quickly or it takes time to cure.

Anjalankila,
I forgot to post she also uses suboxone for pain because she cannot take opiate pain pills. Though for the recal pain the suboxone doesn't help 100%. Lidocaine and Canasa is the only 100% help with hemmoroids / rectal prolapse.

Dear Anjalanakila,

My daughter has CD and I am on here looking for posts on lidocaine creams for rectal prolapse / hemmorid pain. She has had banding procedures in the past for really painful hemmoroids / rectal pain and bleeding.Have you tried banding? Her colorectal surgeon does the procedure right in the office. Then a dose of antibiotics for any potential infection.

Right now she needs a banding procedure and had to wait because she just delivered a healthy 6 lb 8 oz baby boy. They cannnot band during pregnancy because of any potential infection. She uses an anorectal cream that has 5% lidocaine and a Canasa suppository. The Canasa suppository along with the anorectal cream is the only thing she has found useful in helping with rectal prolapses / painful hemmoroids.

I wanted to see if anyone has found a good OTC cream for pain besides the 5% lidocaine cream sold in most Walgreen's stores?

She was prescribed a pharmaceutical strength lidocaine cream (10 or 15%)  and it was  denied by insurance. So we are actively seekinig other OTC remedies that will help with rectal pain.

Anyone have any luck with OTC creams for rectal pain / bleeding?

Thanks,
Mia

Pretty much my exact story. I did get my first Entyvio infusion 1-1/12 weeks ago. Haven’t seen much change. I get number 2 infusion in a couple of days, (2-weeks). Ended up in ER and got morphine shot for hemroid pain, they also put me on antibiotics that helped. Still fighting it and hoping Entyvio works.

When using the bathroom my partner uses a squatty potty. We've bought finger cots so he can use petroleum jelly (or any other lubricaant) to line the inside of his anus before using the toilet. It has helped him so much.
Goodluck!
