UC Flare & C Diff - Nausea

Hi -

I am in the middle of a flare and currently on prednisone and also on antibiotics for a c diff infection. It's a sad state of affairs over here and I have a lot of awful symptoms, including nausea. I think it's the antibiotics but I feel on the verge of throwing up all of the time. Brushing my teeth, taking my meds, eating, anything that smells off (aka my whole house bc I have no energy to clean). I've been smoking a little pot here and there to try and help with nausea, but even that can make me gag if I cough. I've never been a person who throws up so this is new to me and very frustrating. Has anyone else been there before? Any suggestions?

I was in the same boat a few years ago, with a UC flare and C Diff and it was actually the C Diff antibiotics that were making me nauseous. I couldn't eat anything, even the most bland food, without needing to or actually throwing up. My GI prescribed me Zofran for the nausea, which definitely helped. I hope this helps a little

With UC I used to barf all the time. I found the earlier in the day I ate, the better chance I had of keeping it down. For a while I lived on McDonalds Big Breafasts. And snickers bars. Now I have Crohns, and vomit occasionally, usually on an empty stomach, theres no rhyme or reason, it just comes and goes.
