Stabbing pains in rectum/ vagina

Wed, December 04, 2019 4:56 AM

Hi. I've had bowel inflammation for at least 2 years but as of yet I'm still undiagnosed. Partial colonoscopy (he could only do the first bit of bowel) didn't fine anything, neither did the pillcam. Despite not finding anything, they told me I could still have IBD. Recent stool tests still show inflammation. More recently, over that last few weeks, I've developed sharp stabbing pains in my rectum. It's usually brought on by sitting or lying in certain positions (usually if a particular part of my bum in pressing against the chair or bed). Sometimes it feels like the pain is in my vagina, but mostly it's in the back. It's very severe when it happens but thankfully it only lasts a few seconds. I had an abominal and pelvic ultrasound recently and that came back normal. Does anyone else have these sharp pains? I'm going back to the hospital in January but I don't know whether to make *another* GP appointment before then to discuss these pains as they're quite worrying. Thanks
