Hi there,

Congrats on being medication free for 8 months! I was diagnosed with UC back in 2012 and then Crohns in 2014, and have been virtually med free with a very strict diet for the past 4 years.... BUT I just started experiencing symptoms again recently and I know it's because I started eating things like tomato sauce, chocolate, and goat milk.... not all together of course lol! :D

The diet I follow to get myself out of and stay IN remission is called the autoimmune paleo protocol (AIP). There are a lot of resources/recipes out there for it now. I basically put myself in remission with this diet and waffles! You can read about my story here: www.mamaemmas.com/about-us

I hope this helps!

I wish you well!
