Hi, I'm completely new to this forum, and I have not yet started the process of getting diagnosed. I have my first appointment with a gastro (a phone appointment for now- thanks corona) in a month (the earliest I could get one).

I'm pretty sure I have chron's after reading about it extensively.

I have these horrible flare-ups that leave me debilitated for a day or two. Usually I notice if I eat more than a small portion of anything. I had my first attack during my first pregnancy many years ago, and a visit to the ER showed I was constipated but that was it. After that incident, I often had this during later pregnancies, but it's come up so often now that it doesn't matter whether I'm expecting or not. I can usually guess when a flare-up will happen so I'm good about avoiding it, but I can't limit my portion sizes to child's portions the rest of my life! Am I only allowed to eat one piece of bread for every meal?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
