colonoscopy and results

Thu, May 16, 2019 8:59 AM

hi I had a colonoscopy last week which was incomplete as I have a structure around my terminal illeum. the nurse said after that the colon itself looked normal and 14 biopsies were taken. I just got a letter to attend the clinic to talk to the specialist next week. just wondering is this normal?i am terrified I have cancer or something awful! just looking for people's experience with this process and how it went for them and if there was trouble getting into the terminal illeum for anyone else?

Hi,

I've done maybe around 20 Colonoscopies in my 12 years of living with Crohns,

I have had them stop at that point in my intestines because of it being "too small" from inflamation.

in the past they upped my anti-inflam (remicade) dosages and frequency to help it out.

Hope all went well.
