Thu, July 16, 2020 8:02 PM

What do people do for income during a flare? The situation I am in is tricky because of COVID I was on umployment but went back to work two months ago. I didn't ceritify for unemployment the week of getting sick because I was still working. Is there anything that will help me out finnacially during this time? I am not sure when I will be pyschically or even mentally capable to work

am currently still employed. I started a bad flare about two weeks ago, I have been bed ridden in pain with insomia. My body hasn't allowed me to sleep in almost two full weeks. I have severe pain in my spine (please let me know if anyone experiences anything similar because it is so strange it feels like my spine is broken)

Flare ups are the worst, I am so sorry. Is there any way you can talk to both your Dr. and your employer about setting up an FMLA? It should cover you for the time you're out of work during your flare up because unemployment shouldn't have to cover that. I would reach out to your supervisor and request it and they can get you in touch with HR who can get the ball rolling on that. Hopefully that helps!
