Can anyone answer about filing for disability if you are unemployed?

I did file for disability, and while it's true that you can't have worked in the year leading up to your application, the procedure can still take a very long time wordle today

Roof restoration can offer several environmental benefits, particularly when compared to roof replacement or neglecting roof maintenance. https://www.screencast.com/t/ivQ5Hdd95kO

It took me five years, two lawyers, and a court date before a social security law judge finally agreed that my medical documents indicated I was disabled. The procedure can be lengthy, but keep at it; everyone's experience is different. wordle today

This is what I did also hired legal representation should I be denied Disability as they would help me go through the appeal process.  All the questions and forms were sent by them to SSI for me.  They also vetted the applications to see if Disability might be warranted.  When you apply for disability and are finally accepted, you will receive a retroactive payment from the month you applied to the month you were accepted.  The lawyers asked for 25% of that payment.  Even though I wasn't denied, it was still worth it to me to have taken that step--just in case.

I was very lucky when I applied for Disability.  I applied in June and was accepted by September.  My sister, who had been a nurse for 20+ years, had worked for Oregon Human Services and part of her job was to read through the Disability applications and determine if the app should be moved forward in the process based on certain criteria.  She helped me answer the questions and to really see how Crohn's has effected how I live my life in ways that I had just taken for granted.

I applied for disability and was approved. It was a long process, nearly two years. My advice is to seek out an attorney who specializes in this. They will guide you every step of the way. I live in New York, and my attorney received his fee for services only if I was approved. I dont know where you live, or if the rules in your state are the same as NY in regards to attorney fees and disability. BUT...I do know that an attorney who will only receive payment upon approval of your case will be more motivated to win your case. If you live in New York I would be happy to share the name and number of the law firm I used to help me. Good Luck

I was thinking the same few days ago, but no you can't, "disability for employment" is a different thing.
