Hi - has anyone tried the IBD-AID diet? I was recently introduced to it and think I'm going to start Phase 1. I'd love to hear people's feedback!

I know that this is an old post. I have been using the IBD-AID diet. I have also cut out some other foods. It has helped me a lot. As far as food allergies, most tests are blood tests. For those with colon issues, there is a stool specimen test offered by Enterolabs that I read about. The test shows food sensitivities that can cause inflammation.

Hi,
While I have not followed the IBD-AID diet strictly (I've been slipping up a lot lately), I have definitely found it helpful. It seems logical and aims to provide as much nutrient as possible for whatever phase you are in.

I was diagnosed last month for UC. I am doing the AIP (autoimmune protocol) diet. Then going to do a food sensitivity test to see what foods should be safe to reintroduce and avoid the ones that are not. This book has helped me. I am still reading it, but helps me understand autoimmune diseases and how food can help heal the body. Hope this helps.
