From despair to two years in remission - Cannabis & Diet

Thu, November 15, 2018 4:23 PM

I'm hopeful this brings peace of mind and potentially a strategy that will help others

Male 55 , 7 days in hospital, lost 60 pounds , two tranfusions , Pan Colitis ( the whole thing was inflamed )  Sent home with low hemoglobin levels , heavy prednisone and told to get ready for bio-logics. (Allergy to Biologic caused me to stumlble on Cannabis)

Step 1 Hire a dietician to educate you on anti inflammatory foods and what to stay away from, but also at this point to put you on a high calorie protien shake diet with things like nuts & hemp oil to gain some weight back. Take as many naps as you need to , it's when your body heals.

Step 2 Eliminate Alchohol, Coffee, Dairy , Fast food, Processed food. Replace with heavy Salmon , Broccoli ,nuts , spinach , eggs , and other stuff thats either a anti-inflammatory or at least nuetral.  note that white potatoes and rice are actually inflammatory.

Step 3 . Take Cannabis via vape nighlty after dinner with three natural toll house cookies as a daily treat. :) (muchies are real)

Step 4 : Went to Mayo to get correction or clarrification. They liked the strategy suggested thinking of the diet as the mediterranean diet and to add balsalazide to assist.

This is a summary version that I hope provides hope..

Peace,
