I was recently diagnosed with Crohn's last year in November. I first had Ulcerative Colitis, and in October I had a flare up and that is when they told me it was no Crohn's, I have had two flare ups within November through Feburary, and I am not handling it too well. I am only twenty one years old and I feel like my life is over with this. I can not drink or eat certain things that used to and it is takng a toll on my mental health. I dont know how to cope with this and not only that but I also have blood clots and an aneurysm. Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice.

I used to love eating salads but then with my blood clot medication I have to watch my Vitamin K intake. I just feel so overwhelmed about this whole thing. I am so young and I had to deal with Ulcerative Colitis when I was 17 only to get re-diagnosed with Crohnn's at 21. It is very overwhelming.

I was diagnosed with Colitis at 18 right after I graduated from high school. I also experienced the frustration of not being able to eat or drink anything except for water, chicken, and potatoes. Going into college was a nightmare because the only dining hall on campus only ever served red meat most of the time. I’m not going to lie and say that all isn’t horrible, but if you take care of yourself and stick through the crappy diet and take your meds, you’ll make it into remission and will be able to have more options to eat or drink. From my experience, I’ve never had a problem with wines. I’ve never had hard liquor because I’ve been topcoat anxious about my stomach. I am able to eat salads. Spinach is my most favorite because I lack iron from not eating red meat. I drink a cup of coffee about three to four times a day without feeling any stomach pains (I probably should cut the caffeine either way though.) Anyways, hang in there. If you take care of yourself, you will be able to get back into the swing of things. Good luck!
