Hi, for the last few months I’ve been having regular pain in my feet first thing in morning or after sitting for periods of time, which I assumed is some form of plantar fasciitis. It’s become a lot worse recently and I’m just wondering if it’s connected to Crohn’s disease, some form of arthritis and if I need to contact my Gastro doctor to look at changing my meds. Has anyone else experienced anything similar ?

Hi There,
My BF was diagnosed with CD in October and has been hospitalized twice to date. He was started on inflectra in December. around Feb/March he started having pain in his feet. Over a few weeks that pain extended to hands and he was just diagnosed yesterday with mononeuropathy multiplex believed to be a side effect of the inflectra.
What is most frustrating is we emailed the GI doctor about the pain but were told that it wasnt his area and had to go back to PCP and then to rheumatologist and then neurologist. Over all it took 8 weeks to get this answer. I wish i had pushed the issue of evaluating side effects sooner. The pain has been debilitating for him for weeks.

I had horrible plantar fasciitis pain in my left heal since last May. It was so painful to walk and getting out of bed in the morning was awful. I was diagnosed with Crohn's at the end of March and was put on Entocort. I'm on week 2 taking these meds and the foot pain is much better. I also bought compression socks, and new orthopedic insoles which has also helped.
