I have an appointment with a colorectal surgeon next week but wanted to do some research beforehand. 3 years ago I had a colon resection from diverticulitis bouts. Then 2 years ago I had a rectocele repair. Now...I am in terrible pain. My rectum is bulging out, I never feel like I’m emptied (have been on Linzess 290mg/day for over a year for slow transit colon) but still have a constant urge to push and most concerning is when I sit down, I have severe pain in my right lower abdomen. That pain comes and goes quickly and only happens when I sit down. I also had Cdif in 2015 so not sure that has anything to do with this. Anyone else experienced these symptoms? Just wondering if these are similar to what Crohns/Colitis patients experience. Thanks in advance!

Oh my gosh!! THANK YOU!! I didn’t mention (because I didn’t think it was applicable) but I had hip surgery in December. I had a torn labrum as a result of a car accident in October. I never thought this could all be related. I will def mention this to my surgeon on Wednesday!!
