Hi all. I'm turning here for advice. I am scheduled with GI in February. Every morning I get up, make my coffee, sit down on the couch and get slammed with this urge to have a bowel movement. This feeling comes with bloating, gas, lower abdominal pain, nausea that leads to sneezing, and just all over get this out of me feeling. I have various stool types but it's always on the diarrhea side. It's never just one bowel movement it's always 2-3 different times which causes nausea and cramping. No blood except one time and it was only two streaks. (I'm aware of what hemorrhoid blood is). I feel absolutely terrible after a bowel movement. Sometimes it keeps me on the couch all day. Most days I have constant nausea that has required me to use cannabis daily. It's the only thing that helps. I'm so tired of being plagued with this. I have constant cramping in my lower abdomen. I've tried to eliminate foods and have a strict diet but I've been unsuccessful. It is better for me to not eat than to eat if that makes sense. I'm turning here for help understanding what could possibly be going on. I've done my research but getting someone to do something about this is easier said than done where I live. I also want to add that I have swollen optic nerves without increased intercranial pressure so im leaning on the fact this could be from GI complications. Thank you all for your advice.

I went for a routine eye exam in July and it was found. Then I saw neuro ophthalmologist who said lose weight (I'm 195 5'7") and see me in six months because they believe it's pseudotumor cerebri after mri was negative for brain tumor. I requested a neurologist. He did lumbar puncture which ruled out pseudo tumor because my pressure in brain wasn't high enough. Then I did a tilt table that was negative for orthostatic hypotension. I brought in my primary to help me put it all together and he's just as confused as I am. I've read several legit articles tying gi complications to the eyes. 6 months later here I am with no answers. I have not seen my primary to get his opinion.

Sounds like when I had colitis. See what your doctor says. Do some research on biologics like remicade and Entyvio. Some people have very good results, but I’m not one of them. I’ve never heard of optic nerve swelling, and frankly wonder how you have. Did an opthamologist diagnose it?
