Alternative Therapies

Tue, May 26, 2020 6:47 PM

Has anyone had any success with accupuncture and Chinese medicine for Crohns? My son was recently diagnosed and I'm not happy with the choices of meds available and the possible side effects. I'm learning that many people have great results by changing eating patterns and incorporating things like CBD oil, Bee propolis and boswellia. Please let me know if you know of any natural solutions.

Hi, i am a new diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. I just started biological therapy with ozone. It is absolutly safe,it is just been a month and it alredy helped me.
I am from lationoamerica so i don´t have acces to a lot of medical treatments,  I have not yet passed my first active phase, but this therapy bring me back energy and hope.

My son has had Crohn's for a while now. The doctor thinks he should go to a higher med (i.e. biologic) but we're more conservative. He has no symptoms and limited inflammation based on his MRE and colonoscopy/endoscopy a week ago. So, we're looking at other options as well - he's already taking fish oil and turmeric. But as of yesterday after our call with the dr. we're looking into CBD, diet, etc. to help - it's too easy for a dr to say go to biologics without looking at the child holistically. We're getting new labs to see where he is and then look again in 6 months. We may increase his current meds slightly (Pentasa) but I'd prefer the natural route. I'll keep an eye on this post to see replies and if I find anything out I'll post too as we need to help each other. Good luck!
