Hi, I'm a 55 year old female. I've had IBS since my 20s, with several flares a year. This runs in my family. I also have hemorrhoids, both internal and external. Right before a flare, I typically get gas, gurgling stomach, then diarrhea/nausea with sometimes vomiting. This usually lasts a few hours, then I'm ok again. Last night, my husband and I went out to dinner. I had a chicken bacon wrap and French fries. Got home, had an IBS attack. Didn't vomit with this, but felt nauseous. Was in and out of the bathroom all night. Then a new symptom developed: bloody diarrhea. I never had this before, and now I'm super worried. This has been going on all day long now. No pain, no nausea, no IBS symptoms. Just this lingering diarrhea. It's all watery blood. So sorry to be graphic, but needed to tell someone about this. I plan to call my doctor tomorrow and get an appointment with a gastro and get a colonoscopy. But until then, I'm panicked I have cancer. Anyone else ever have this, and what was your diagnosis? Could I have developed Ulcerative Colitis? My diet is horrible and I need to lose about 35 pounds, so I know this isn't helping. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
