How to stop the abdominal pain ?

Thu, February 07, 2019 10:29 PM

I am new to this forum and wanting to see if anyone has had the same or similar conditions I have. I was diagnosed last year with Crohn's disease and began taking Humira last August. When my pain all began last February (2018) it put me in the hospital for a week. I was given prednisone for a few weeks with no success in relieving my pain. After many different test I was told I would need surgery to remove my ileus between my small and large intestines. I had that surgery this past November and am still suffering from the same abdominal pain as before surgery. My doctor just two weeks ago sent me back for another CT-Scan and the results of that test showed no new inflammation, which suggest the Humira was working. However, I'm still suffering the same abdominal pain daily. My doctor last week prescribed a new medication, Dicyclomine, which she thinks I am also suffering IBS. So far nothing has helped to ease this pain. It feels like thousands of needles circling my body and my whole insides being in a spasm. Has anyone else suffered from this type of abdominal pain, and if so, what medications were prescribed ? Thank you.

I am taking peppermint oil as an alternative pain killer while waiting to see if my budenoside works - it has helped with the pain I get once I eat.

through:In my opinion, it is better that you follow your doctor's instruction and take the medicines accordingly if you want to recover faster.  A friend of my cousin was too diagnosed with the same illness but as he was enrolled under a Medicare insurance, all his prescription medicines were covered under the insurance plan and also all the doctor's visits too. Now he is really doing fine and undergoing the next treatment. If you want, you can have look and know about the benefits of having healthcare insurance https://www.thehealthexchangeagency.com/medicare-part-d-prescription-drugs/
