Switching? Remicade to Humira

Hello - I have been on Remicade every 8 weeks for a couple years throughout college, however, now that I have graduated and am working the infusions have been becoming very inconvienant. I was wondering if anyone has ever switched from Remicade to Humira and how that has worked for them? My GI said it is possible - but there are not many studies that have been done to see what the effect will be and even if Humira will even work - and worst case that Remicade might not work if I went from Humira to Remicade. Any advice on the possibility of switching to Humira from Remicade would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Personaly, I am unable to recommend specific medical advice or choose a contexto course of therapy. Only your doctor can evaluate your particular medical condition, io games examine your history of treatments, and suggest the best course of action.

I switched from Remicade to Humira about 10 years ago. I was only on Remicaid for about 6 months before being diagnosed with osteosarcoma. I was told this was unrelated to the Remicade. I ended up having a resection before starting cancer treatment due to the severity of my Chrohns. I started on Humira after cancer treatment ended. Humira has kept everything in check besides diarrhea. Diarrhea is definitely better, but still a regular occurence. The Remicade did not do much for me, but I was only on it for the 6 or so months. I think a lot of my symptoms going away was also due to the resection.
