Hi Everyone.
I used to rely heavily on Entocort to keep my symptoms under control but at my doctor's urging, I weaned off and am using 6MP instead, which thankfully seems to be working. However, he told me I could still take ONE 3 mg. Entocort a WEEK as a little insurance policy that things will remain good.
Yesterday I took my once a week Entocort and the anxiety and hyperness and flushed face were awful for the next 12 hours. I have always had issues with anxiety and am also sensitive to meds, so I wonder if maybe I can no longer tolerate this "on and off" of the Entocort? When I was taking it daily I imagine my body adjusted to it, but now that I take it once a week, does it make sense that it would create such anxiety, hyperness, tingling, sleeplessness, etc.?
I now need to decide if I should give up the once a week and risk my colitis symptoms flaring, or if I should just deal with the side effects of taking Entocort once a week. Anyone else this sensitive to a cortico-steroid?
