Not sure how much has been talked about on this forum with Remicade and COVID, but I wanted to jump in here and talk about it. I have been on Remicade for several years now and was pretty worried about getting COVID because of my medication and crohn's disease. I am a police officer and my wife is a nurse so I figured we wouldn't be able to avoid forever, I am just glad I lasted this long. Anyway, about 5 days ago I came down with a very slight dry cough. About 4 days ago I started having a severe headache that would be partially tamed with tylenol but would never go away. My headache just went away last night. During the last four days I had a short period of slight fever, some chills occassioally, and some body weakness. Today I woke up with no taste at all but other than that I feel really good. Feel like I am over the hump now, no more headache, fatigue, chills, or cough. I know I am not out of it completely yet but wanted to share my experience for anyone that is on Remicade and is worried. I just had my infusion a week ago so I thought with it being fresh in my system I wouldn't be able to fight it well, but so far all is good. I know COVID is different for everyone but hopefully this helps ease some people.
