I’m Stacy & I was Dx w/Crohn’s & Auto-Immune Hepatitis in 2014. Two years later I was Dx w/Entero-arthritis. I have mod-severe pain & swelling in small joints (ankles, knees, wrists, fingers) & sacroiliac. Currently, I’m on Stelara for Crohn’s & I'm +/- in remission. The arthritis still awful. Half a dozen drugs have failed me. Now, doc has started me on 6-MP. But I'm confused. Isn't this a Crohn's drug? Will it help entero-arthritis in the absence of Crohn's inflammation? Thank you so much.

I've been diagnosed with UC since 1989 at the age of 14 and now being 46, I can look back to when I was 16 and see that I had enteropathic arthritis symptoms even then. Currently, my symptoms are very much like yours, SI joint pain, but mostly pain in my hands (knuckle joints and wrists especially) and ankle joints (where the achilles tendon inserts into the heel) and in the balls of my feet. I'm awaiting a rheumatological workup on the 15th, so I don't have a formal diagnosis of enteropathic arthritis yet. I honestly have not found much of anything to work other than dietary changes, rest, and doing all I can to avoid flares, which makes it very difficult to function at all because of this arthritis. Please let me know if you ever got any resolution via your GI doctor or with any meds.
