I have Crohn's disease. I used to supplement my Remicade infusions with Pentasa, but when I moved from private insurance to Medicare Part D, the Pentasa became prohibitively expensive. I notice that Apriso is a similar medication--mesalamine in a delayed-release form--and it is much more affordable. I was wondering if any people out there can report their experiences using Apriso to treat Crohn's--whether it helped, if you experienced any objectionable side effects, etc., and how it compares to Pentasa if you have used both. Thanks!

I have tried them all and have found Lialda works best with Asacol second. But that's just me. The brand name meds work better than any of the generics for me also.
