Hello to everyone. My dad is in Russia and is currently fighting Covid-19. His colitis flare up due to the virus has been so bad that he barely can eat. I am worried about him getting pneumonia on top, so trying to be prepared here. In the past, he has taken Predinosone during a flair up but doctors did not want to give him prednisone this time since he has (or had since it has been 11 days now) a virus (Covid-19), so his immune system can fight the virus (first 10 days). It has been 11 days now and doctors in Russia are letting him take prednisone. Does anyone have experience taking this steroid during Covid? I just hope it will not trigger pneumonia.
