My husbands insurance gets worse and worse. It covers less and less and the copays and deductibles keep going up. This is a real problem now as I have to be on both Humira and Pentasa to keep me out of the hospital. I work part-time and don't get insurance and even if I did, it's the same company as my husbands so it would be no better. Anyone have any ideas what to do. My hubby has decided to look for another job but there is always that lapse of insurance that you have to get through and it worries us. Plus we have mounting hospital bills we keep paying off little by little. Which I'm sure will grow now that Medica keep decreasing benefits.

Some companies do not offer health insurance when you first start, others do; I've worked for two large companies that insure you starting day 1.
If you're insured now and have drug coverage, often you can renew prescriptions after 21 days rather than after 30 days. Do this for 6 months and you've got an extra few months' saved up prescriptions..
(Ideally you'd be covered by the pharmaceutical companies' low-income plan and the meds would be offered cheaply or at no cost to you)

Humira has a Financial Protection Plan that makes it so your copay is only $5 a month. I use it & it works beautifully. Click on the following link to apply for it! They usually can get you approved for it within a couple weeks. :)

AZ mom's suggestion about seeking assistance from the pharmaceuticals is a good idea. You may also want to keep in mind retaining COBRA if hubby gets another job. Though it is expensive, it may be worth your while, and a lot cheaper than a hospital stay. It may be worth it just for the peace of mind.
Good luck in the job search.

NJS - I just hope it helps! I promise I can relate. We had to Cobra our insurance when my hsuband lost his job this summer. My benefits will cover us starting in January but it has nearly broken us along the way! Don't be embarrassed to ask them for help - that's why they have the program!! Let us know how it goes....
