Egads, previously I think I had 3 yeast infections in my life. Now since my dx in Dec 08 I am on my 3rd. The last one just being last month. Trust me- I would rather have the yeast infection then a full on flare- but nonetheless with 100 degree weather here- well you get the picture- rather uncomfortable. Anybody else deal with this- any tricks or preventative measures I can do? THANKS

I can understand your situation. I have had re-occuring yeast infections most of my life. After I was on antibiotics for a bacterial lung infection I got a UTI and then a yeast infection. That was when my pain started on and off since March. I tried telling my various specialists and they didn't listen to me. One of them said that he didn't think that I wanted to go back to work and wanted me to see a psych. My 2nd pulmonary dr told me to join a gym. I was just diagnosed with IBD and I have bi-polar. The pain is horrible. Eating is horrible. I can't sleep at night. I hate the fact that these dr's don't care and can make decisions on our lives. kat

From someone who dealt with this at a minimum, no lie, up to five times a month for 6 mos straight, icdiet.com - my urologist said it is diet. I changed and haven't had one since.
No sugar whatsoever. That is what triggers them, on top of antibiotics. I have a dresser drawer full of scripts for yeast infections, and haven't used one since I let go (most of the way) of sugar and take 1.5 billion cells of probotics every other day.
My heart goes out to you.

I know that the yeast infections is from the medications you are on. All I can tell you is that diflucan def. helps for yeast infections. If you can have dairy eat lots of yogurt it's good bacteria and it will help keep the yeast infections away. Good Luck cause i know yeast infections SUCKK! lol
