I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease recently but before that I was diagnosed with vulvodynia which bascially means vaginal pain. That was 7 years ago and I still have vaginal flares which seem to be better when my Crohn's is flaring. They alternate as if taking turns on me. I am curious if anyone else has this problem?

Yes! I have a lot of vaginal discomfort during sex especially when my UC is flaring up. I also have a friend who has a friend with Crohn's who can't be intimate
at all because of the pain. I don't know if it's the UC itself, the meds (some of which- Prednisone namely- can lower libido) or the fact that I just don't feel very sexy when I'm sick, but I just can't seem to put out for my boyfriend like I used to. I'm 28, and my man is smoking hot in my eyes, so no problems there, but I find it very hard to get aroused when all I can think is "this is going to hurt, just like last time." Inevitably we have to stop before we can, erm, "seal the deal." He's very understanding, luckily, but it's still insanely frustrating. I saw my gyno yesterday and she suggested I take some ointment for bacterial vaginosis, but I'm going to wait to see if my pap results confirm that theory.
Looking to see if anyone else is dealing with li....
