Hi Ladies,
I've had UC since I was 15 years old. I recently went in for a colonoscopy (2 1/2 weeks ago) since I've had UC for nine years now. I ended up with a perforated bowel and had emergency surgery that night. I woke up the next morning with 1/3 of my colon missing, a new diagnosis of Crohn's and an illestomy bag. I recently just celebrated my 1st wedding anniversary in June and now I'm embarrassed to be intimate with my husband because I have this bag hanging from my belly. Any advice would be wonderful!

I don't have the bag, but I can say that if you honestly tell your hubby about how you feel undesirable, he might surprise you. He didn't marry you for your body, just that sparkling personality!
Sending hugs

I am a 30 year old female, and I have Crohn's Disease as well. About 2 years ago, I had most of my colon removed and had to have a colostomy bag as well. Thankfully I only had to have it for about 6 months. I was seeing somebody at the time and was also embarrased. I found lingerie helped to hide it.
