Fermented/Cultured Vegetable Enema?

Wed, October 15, 2014 8:27 PM

Has anyone tried this or read anywhere about it being tried?  All this talk and ongoings with fecal transplants makes me wonder why this isn't ALSO being tested.  I have had quite a bit of success in staving off symptoms by eating really good quality fermented veggies.  The brand I absolutely love is Farmhouse Cultures.  It seems silly to me that inserting someone else pooh into another has come before inserting a VERY strong natural probiotic.  If you are unfamiliar with fermented veggies they are unpasteurized, ideally organic, sauerkraut.  This website is great: http://articles.mercola.com/fermented-foods.aspx.

I have had Crohn's since 2011, IBS since 1996, and 4 hospital stays since my diagnosis.  I just recently had 2 stints in the hospital due to food poisoning and was diagnosed with a C.Diff infection.  Am on Vancomycin, a very strong antibiotic, and am doing my best to repopulate my gut with healthy bacteria.  I'm on a gut bacteria "kick."  I really do believe this is the key to health.  I also believe my depression and anxiety are a result of my unhealthy gut.
