Scar Tissue in Intestines

Mon, June 27, 2016 3:28 PM

So with my Crohn's, I was diagnosed back in 1999. I am now 40. Had 2 healthy pregnancies. After my first I had a terrible flare of crohn's and had surgery to remove part of my intestines. I have been told due to the amount of scar tissue I have to avoid high fiber, fresh fruits and vegetables, which are all good for you.
I recently was diagnosed with migraines, the meds I take have caused me to gain weight, something I have never struggled with due to Crohn's. But I am talking uncomfortable weight and I feel even more sluggish!
How can I lose weight safely when I can't eat the foods that are suppose to be good for me, such as fresh fruits and veggies.
I feel like everything I eat causes a side effect, so I just eat and suffer the consequences. But constipation is something very easy for me to get so I am very careful. But I need to lose weight thanks to the migraine meds.
