i had lost my insurance last year and could not afford the medicine myself. I have a new insurance but i am very hesitant to spend any money on doctors, labs, and medication right now that im about to go off to college. Aside from tuition, I don't know any of the extra costs yet. I have not taken my biologic since december and i have felt fine but my symptoms are coming back, I can feel it. I think i'm overwhelmed and stressing myself out.
I have been told from my past doctors that biologics are tricky when someone hasn't taken them for an extended period of time. What would happen if i only treated it when it's in this limbo stage of feeling noticable but it doesn't impede on my day, aside from always feeling tired and a tight feeling in my stomach? If i can't go on biologics, what are treaments that worked for you if you've ever been switched off of humira?

That “limbo stage” you described—feeling tired, tightness in your stomach—is your body signaling that inflammation might be simmering beneath the surface. Treating only when symptoms spike can sometimes lead to a cycle of chasing flares rather than preventing them
