Struggling with Pentasa suppositories

Sat, September 02, 2017 12:49 AM

Hi all, I was diagnosed with ulcerative proctitis on Thursday, and was prescribed Pentasa suppositories. They don't seem to be...dissolving? First night I don't think I inserted fully or properly. Thought I had it down last night, it was further in and seemed secure...however this morning a fair bit of the capsule was still intact, and I was able to remove it before using the bathroom. I feel like it is supposed to fully melt or dissolve...I don't know if I'm pushing it in far enough?! It had dissolved to a degree but not as much as I suspect it should have. Please advise? I'm going to head to a pharmacy today to get some advice, but would be grateful to hear from any regular users of this medication. Thank you :)
