Stelara?

Tue, December 27, 2016 1:57 PM

hi everyone! i'm new to this forum, but not new to uc. i was diagnosed about 6 years ago and have had a *** of a time with it. but, the newest development is that humira is not working for me and doc wants to start me on stelara. there is so little information out there about stelara for uc/crohn's so i was hoping someone here would have some info, opinions or feedback?

Hi I started Stelara at the end of December after failing on humira and cimiza. I just took my second dose and feel slightly better than I was before taking Stelara. I was kind of hoping for an immediate response but that was not the case. I know the test trails talk about people in remission after about a year, still hopeful it will kick in for me soon. Good luck to you!

I had chrons mild and started drinking milk a litre a day and rebuilt my intestines with the protein in milk. It is the highest form of protein and is the protein they use to compare all other proteins and stops bleeding ulcers which is chrons and ulcer colitis. Yeast causes ulcers it eats your intestines. Stop yeast l had to 100% and you will get rid of this awful disease. Colonoscopy or blood tests don't show yeast so doctors don't diagnose it. Only labs that test yeast can show you your problem with yeast overgrowth. Vaginal yeast infection-white tongue is all yeast overgrowth. I had to stop white bread donuts submarine sandwiches beer with brewers yeast and I don't miss them because of the misery I went through. Do it its your answer to getting your life back.

I just started Stelera on Wed- first dose. I have had Crohn's for 20+ years. I was on Remicade and doing well, but had to stop that due to other immune complicactions. From what I've read and learned from my dr., Stelera has good outcomes for Crohn's (targeting cells in the gut involved in inflammatory process), but I've not read or seen much of its use in UC. Sorry- that was really not very helpful to your specific case. If I do find more, I'll repost! Prayers for healing!!
