Hi, I haven't been on here in a long time.
I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right spot or not... but...
Every night for OVER a week now (last night was the 8th night) I've been having nightmares. Not the same one over and over... but different nightmares. Some are worse than others, and some are a lot more strange than others.
I have no idea how this could have ANYTHING to do with Crohn's disease... but I can't figure out why I am having nigtmares. I'm not any more stressed than normal. No big changes in life. So, even though I don't think they have anything to do with Crohn's, I thought it might be worth a shot to see if maybe anyone else has problems with nightmares, and maybe has suggestions.

Hi--Perhaps you might want to ask your GI doc to refer you to a psychoanalyst who can help you try to understand what these nightmares mean. Or you can try to do a bit of self-analysis. Have you ever read Freud's book The Interpretation of Dreams? It's not a guidebook to self-analysis of dreams, but it might get you started thinking about what at the root of your nightmares. (I think Freud's associate Ernest Jones wrote a book just on nightmares).
