Occupational Therapy

Tue, January 27, 2015 10:32 PM

Hi, I was wondering if anybody out there has ever been reffered to an Occupational Therapist for their IBD diagnosis. I have had Crohn's disease for a little over 8 years now and am currently working on my Masters in Occupational therapy. As a student I can already see many ways in which seeing an OT could be helpful, however, there is very little information out there about IBD and OT. I would love to hear if you have any stories about how OT has played a role in your journey with IBD.

I have never been referred to an OT but I'd love to hear more about your ideas. My friend is applying to OT scool in Maryland and I know she really enjoys and believes in the power of occupational therapy.
