I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 1995. I had just started college (full scholarship) and boom it happened. I am the only one in my family that has crohns. I stayed in the hospital for about a month in a half. I dropped down to 70lbs, and had numerous blood transfusions, I even went into cardiac arest, needless to say surgery was my only option or death. The doctors removed almost all of my colon, you might as well say that I don't have one. I battled with having a colostomy bag, but I had wonderful doctors that took the bag away because of my age at the time they thought it would be too emotional for me. It took a long time to recover, and needless to say I lost my scholarship. I am now 33 years old and I take Remicade and Imuran because I am allergic to everything else. I go to the restroom about 10-11 times a day and I weigh about 90-98 lbs. I am very blessed to still be a live and tell my story, but from time to time I battle with fatigue. I sometimes wonder how my life would have turned out if I would not have ever become sick. I hope my story helps someone out there, that has been newly diagnosed or that has been battling for a while. I am here to say don't give up, and to fight even when you don't have the strength. There are many people out there that are battling this disease from children, elderly and even celebrities. Please respond if I can be of any help. Thanks for listening, and be blessed :0)

Low energy could be from lots of different issues: malabsorption due to Crohn's, meds, emotional/psychological issues. You don't say how long you have been feeling this way. If just a short time, you could be battling off a virus. Crohn's takes a large physical and mental toll, so it's natural to feel fatigued at times or even regularly. I'd recommend that you work with professionals to determine what's up.
