Is high intensity exercise bad for CD?

Mon, June 06, 2016 7:55 PM

I started working out earlier on this year and have decided to step things up with more high intensity or HIIT style workouts, but a few supposedly in the know have said this type of exercise can cause a lot of stress on the body which can lead to crohns flares. Any truth to this?

I've hear that HIIT can cause increase in inflammation. That being said, I have been doing HIIT style workouts for as long as I remember and have never noticed a correlation between them and my flare ups.
