Possibly Misdiagnosed?

Sat, March 25, 2017 5:48 PM

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 7 years ago. I've been having a pain in my lower right side and during my last GI appointment, my GI examined the area when I told him. He told me not to worry, but that is the spot where the small and large intestines meet. There is a possibility I was misdiagnosed and may have Crohns. I'm trying not to stress out until my next appointment, but I don't know if I can accept another diagnosis. Since being diagnosed with UC, I've had so many other health issues and don't want to even consider having something else to deal with. Has this happened to anyone else? I need some advice. I'm scared and it makes me feel all alone again.

I have an appointment in a few weeks and if the spot still has sharp pains (and it does), I'll have to have testing done...I'm assuming colonoscopy and blood work...so please if this has happened to any of you, please reach out to me.

Thanks in advance.
