Depression, anxiety, and hopelessness...

Wed, June 07, 2017 1:19 PM

I have been diagnosed with Crohn's about 2 1/2 years ago. I was put on Remicade and it was a failure. I have been sick for more than ten years but was unable to seek treatment. This disease has affected my life in every way possible. I used to own my own business but haven't been able to work in years. I have no friends left, and my wife tries to be supportive but she really just doesn't understand the damage that has been done to me. I have reached a point where this life is no life at all, and with little, if any hope of every getting better. I would love to hear how some of you cope and find any enjoyment out of this life. Thank you in advance for your candor.

Depression and anxiety are not at all same. One can easily tell by seeing a person whether he is in depression or is going through anxiety. However, depression can lead to anxiety. A great number of clinical depressions are also accompanied by anxiety. On the off chance, if you are encountering anxiety together with your depression, your specialist should disclose to you that, by overcoming anxiety, the side effects of depression are probably going to reduce. There are ways that can help you to come out of your problems. One can check for those ways by looking for them online or can also consult a psychic like Voyante Sérieuse( http://www.martine-voyance.com/deontologie ), she can better help you understand the main reason behind your problem.

You sound depressed; depression is more treatable than crohns. I have some clients who have, horrible medical problems (cancer, head injuries, alzheimers) and all of theirresponsible depressions have gotten better. The gut is very sensitive to emotions, that wicked crohns you have just feeds off depression. Get assistance.

Hi, I understand this pain completely. I used to feel let down by several burdens and problems in my life, and Crohn´s is still one of them. But you have to change your mindset in order to change your life. All negative thoughts and problems that are cluttering your mind and causing any self doubt, must be jettisoned. First you must start seeing the roots of these problems and negative thoughts: where, when, and how are they triggered? What can I do about them and what parts are out of my control? Some of the many tips and methods I've experienced over the years involve the following:

  • Let others know exactly how you feel, even when you would rather not be honest about your state of mind.
  • Practice positive thinking. Do not become cynical about life
  • Always believe in yourself. Your circumstances cannot define you.
  • Sometimes it may be a medical problem instead of mental. You might want to consult a doctor or psychiatrist because you could be suffering from a type of depression or anxiety that is treatable.
This will take a while, maybe even years to accomplish. But in time this feeling of defeat will leave. I recommend reading quotes and philosophies from several different outlets and sources in life in order to start finding out what you are capable of. One of my biggest inspirations is a man called Bruce Lee. I have a poster of him in my house that I see everyday that states...

¨Defeat is a state of mind; No one is ever defeated until defeat has been accepted as a reality."
Keep in mind, what works for one doesn't always work for all. So make sure you only apply what actually works for you. Best of luck my friend.
