Being open

Sun, July 23, 2017 8:19 AM

Hi all :)

I am 20 years old, and finishing my second year of college

I am newly diagnosed (about 3 months) and i keep running into the question - when to tell people if at all.. This goes to dates, friends and family (cousins.. Immediate family knows and we are very open about it)

I wanted to know what the rest of you do? Is it something eveyone knows about you or only the ones closest to you?

I would say be fairly open, but perhaps spare the goriest details.  Certainly, I would explain the illness is why you are tired all the time, or why you don't want to go to some social event.  I was always open with my kids, and they sometimes told me TMI.
