pain and blood in stool

Sun, January 06, 2019 11:27 PM

Have had UC for 6 years, all symptoms under control with zero issues for years now. Recently have had pain when going to bathroom. Stool feels very large and hard when it isn't and have had blood in stool 80% of the time for last month or so. No pain or other issues any other part of day

Assume it's hemorrhiods because having no other issues. Not sure if this is an issue in long term? Thoughts?

Let your GI know but also hemorrhoid cream might help with the pain a little. I've dealt with this a bit before and the cream seemed to help, as weird as it might be.

Hope you feel better :)

Let them examine you. You could see your gastroenterologist for an anoscopy, blood work and stool collection kit. They might want you to have a colonoscopy too. Good luck.
