Do what you  think is right, not what you think would be cool in college.  I quit drinking at about 25 years of age.  Long before I found out I had Crohn's.  You do what will make you feel good about yourself.

The only advice I can offer is moderation is definitely the key when you have an IBD of any type. Start off slow and try one drink a night, one trick is to do a mix drink and then after that first one drink the same thing but without the alcohol. So start off with a jack and coke and then just have coke the rest of the night, it is easier to hide the fact that you are having to be careful.

I have found that heavy beer is the worst for it, otherwise it's up to you.  Generally cocktails and mixed drinks are better than shots or beer, or even wine.  But everyone is different.

unfortunately I've found that you just need to try and see.  Sometimes during a flare there is no issue - other times alcohol (especially wine) will set it off.  Try it at home first to see how your body reacts....
