i have in the past been d'nosed with Ulcerative colitis

when i was first d'nosed the dr said i had some ulcers but my last

colonoscopy showed a small part of my transverse colon to be inflammed.

He didnt say he saw any ulcers (he said just the little inlfammed area was all he  saw).

So i am wondering because there are no ulcers now does that mean i dont have colitis???

I still have some symptoms sometimes. But no blood just lose stools and stomach pain sometime .

the other thing he said he saw in my stomach was 'old' abbravasions.

what kind of things does that to your stomach ? and is alcohol one of them??

Having no ulcers is an indication that your disease is not very active and that your colon is healing.

If you still have a small patch of inflammation than you still have colitis.  The word colitis just means that your colon is inflamed so anytime there is inflammation in your colon you are said to have colitis.  Ulcerations are a result of severe inflammation.

Even if your disease goes into complete remission and you have no inflammation you will still have Ulcerative Colitis though.
