NE Kansans

Although I really appreciate this site for support; it has become frustrating that the nearest face-to-face support group is several hours away. Of course, I don't tempt the trip since my disease does limit my traveling situations. I've requested starting up a support group, here, locally, but not getting much support from the community nor facilities. Wondered if anyone would be interested in starting up a support group for the NE Kansas area with me? Whether it be locally, or the Take Steps program, or a NE Kansas website, etc... Thanks :)

I live in North Central Kansas I to have wondered about a support group.  I suffer from UC for about 12 years I am in clinical trial right now with a new drug.  If you would like to know more about it just let me know you can email me at hynekcindy@yahoo.com  It does help to have someone to talk to.

I am not a Kansan... but wondered if perhaps you've checked with all the hospitals near you to see if they have a local support group.  I checked this web site for a local chapter near me and it was too far also.  Then, I checked with my local hospital and they referred me to one 35 min. from home.  Just a thought.  Good luck with your endeavor/search.
