anyone tried medifast?

Just curious if anyone has tried medifast.  I have crohn's and uc, and have been flaring for over a year.  I am on Lialda, and refuse to take anymore steriods ( there are too many side effects for me ).  Anyways, our doctor has recommended my husband go on medifast to lose some weight,  I went to the tasting with him, and the foods not that bad, and you eat your own balanced meal for dinner, which will work with the kids.  I was talking to the counselor there, and she mentioned she had two crohn's patients go on her plan, and they went into remission after only a week!  I decided to try it with my husband ( also to support him ), to see if it would help.  I really don't need to lose weight, although it would be a better balanced diet, as I am often scared to eat too much, being out and about with 3 kids.  Just curious if anyone has tried it and if so what your result was.  Thanks, sorry for the journal!

I'll let you know if it works for me!  I agree, sometimes I think the Lialda makes it worse, although I was on Pentasa before that and 8 pills a day sucks, and it worked the same.  I am due for another colonoscopy, so we'll see if we will try a new medication.  My GI is not happy that I refuse the steroids, but I just can't do it anymore.  Right now, I want to try something other than meds.
