When I discovered I had UC (last year), I had a severe flare up followed after my colonoscopy. I had mild symptoms present but the colonoscopy threw me over the top.
Is there a preparation made specifically for UC patients thats easier on the tummy?

I have Crohn's, and have had several colonoscopies over the years. I'm not too fond of the prep, either. A friend of mine who has irritable bowel, said I should make sure to get lots more fluids than I usually take in during a normal day. The last time I had to prep, I pretty much took it easy, getting bed rest most of the day, and drank extra fluids, ate popsicles, etc. I still felt a bit shaky at the end of the day, but not as bad as before.
I can't recall having flares after a colonoscopy, but the preps do seem to sap my strength. I never feel good after one. And I'm not a fan of that stuff you have to drink, either. Surely someone can come up with something better than that.

I've never had a flare after a colonoscopy, but I always have a terrible time with the colonoscopy preparation. I get sick as a dog.
