Grateful for the good days but waiting for the other shoe to drop!

Sun, October 04, 2009 7:49 PM

I hate to even say it, let alone write it...I feel good today and I felt good yesterday and I don't know why!  I suffer from crohns and ulcerative colitis.  I ran  a race today, took my girls to visit my parents, ate a sandwich.... I don't know why things are going well when just a week ago I had diarhea every day, was nauseous, couldn't tolerate anything.  It is truly a mystery to me.  I even bought lettuce in the hopes of having a salad this week.  I know I should be grateful for the good days but I just HATE the "lousy" days which turn into weeks and months and I'm expecting the worst!  Just thought I'd share.

Don't wait for the other shoe to drop.    Just enjoy the good day!   As for the salad......make what we call here ...... a "tiny hiney" one.    My daughter would eat it as a meal every day of her life if she could.......being her "special belly" won't allow it, we make "tiny hiney" ones once in a while.   I think the small portion is enough that she can tolerate it and gives her the satisfaction of eating her favorite - Chicken Caesar.

All the best.....here's to the Good Days!!!!   (yeah)    May God Bless you with many, many more.

Yippeee for the good days.  I too just wait for the tide to turn.  I try to really take advantage of a good day.  Hope you get that salad-its been over a year since I have eaten one!
