PLEASE I NEED PRAYERS!!!

Hi, I had to go t ER this morning because I was in so much pain from whatever this is, abcess or fistula. The hospital where I live is not that great. I was there for 4 hrs, and finally a dr came in barely looked at it and then did a anal exam(was not gentle at all) that about killed me I just burst into tears it hurt so bad especially already being in so much pain down there. He was in room maybe a min. He prescribes me lidocaine ointment, a cream, and pain med. I am on disability and have medicare the Lidocaine was the only thing my prescription coverage covered. The other cream cost $66.00 and pain med $18 !!!! I can't afford to buy those two my husband was laid off a few months ago and we are barely getting by now. I just feel hopeless and have cried all afternoon. I got a call after leaving ER the earliest I can see new gastro dr is Nov 24!!! How long do I have to be in pain before I can get someone to help me!!! Please everyone keep me and my family in your prayers, thats the only hope there is!!

You're in my prayers. I was where you are about a year ago and completely understand. ER doctors are the worst. The GI should have gotten you an appointment with such a thing a lot sooner. I would call them again. Not sure if it would help but go to some precription companies. They often provide assistance with medications that are not affordable. I hope things work out for you soon...it's a miserable thing to deal with.
