My husband was diagnosed with Crohn's last year. He gets cold very easily. He will be freezing when I am comfortable. Does any one else with Crohn's have this problem?

Yes! I am always cold. Like the others I have cold hands and feet. I sleep with a sweatsuit on and socks. My husband is just the opposite he is always warm. It's not till it hits the 80's that I feel comfortable. It's nice to know that I am not alone in this. The people I work with don't believe that I could be that cold untill I put a hand on their arm or their neck. I too thought it was from the medications.

Tahani,
I can sympathize. I often get so cold in a restuarant (and at home) that I start shivering so bad that my stomach cramps up and I can't eat.

Yeah, I have Crohn's, and get cold real easily. I take light cardigans to work in summertime, or if I'm going out to a movie or restaurant. If I'm too cold sometimes, my gut cramps up and I have to run to the restroom. So better safe than sorry.

I too am cold most of the time. I can get warmed up outside on summer days but I am very sensitive to air conditioning. I sleep with blankets on my bed in the middle of August. I stay constantly cold during the winter months. I always thought it was the medicine too. It is nice to know I am not the only one.

Glad to hear you say that. I was just diagnosed with Crohn's 2 days ago, but I have been freezing for the last month or so. I am so cold that I ride around in the car with the air OFF (i live in Texas). That's cold.

Thank goodness......I thought I was turning into my granny.
My boyfriend always complains I have it too hot in the house but I am always freezing. I have always just thought it was the meds. Nice to know I am not alone.

Oh yes! I have to wear coats in the summer. I just thought i was weird. Good to know someone else gets that too. I always have goosebumps and just can't ever get warm.... or I go from cold to being extremely hot (nowhere in between) and that makes me feel sick.

I have had colitis for 7 years now and I also have this problem but was unsure if anyone else did. I ALWAYS feel cold when no one else is and it's very hard for me to warm up even when I dress in layers. Even during the summer my hands seem to be ice cold. I don't necessarily have any good suggestions about this but he is not the only one.
