i've looked and this site several times in the past, never read anything in the community.  i've had crohn's since 1969 and was extremely sick for several years, it was holy *** .  i survived and have always had active disease but always able to manage.  now i'm in a major flair, it caught me so off guard.  i have found this site so comforting.  it's nice to know others understand, you can't unless you've been there.  i've always been interested in diet, i know it has alot to do with the disease.  i noticed the book "breaking the vicious cycle" mentioned in ccfa , so i bought it.  unbelievable, milk, wheat, corn and sugar and expecially together are my worst trigger foods that i'm aware of.  i've always gotten sicker around this time of year.  guess what my birthday is in november=cake and then all the tasty food of the holiday season.  makes alot of sence to me.  i had no idea some of the names of the hidden ingredients.  it appears to be a difficult diet and remain somewhat normal,so. i think i will go slow..  my attitude before was always looking for the cure, now i realize if the diet makes you feel good, its okay, it doesn't have to cure.  so thanks to all of you for sharing your problems and victories.

ICdiet.com - it's the diet my urologist put me on and my family doctor told me about that friday.  My urologist said it will work the whole digestive system.  But the reason I post this here, look at what you are saying and what has been taught for 100's of years.  ;)
